why do tennis players use separate balls for 1st and 2nd serve?
why do tennis players use separate balls for 1st and 2nd serve? I mean when they miss 1st serve and in case the ball comes back to them, they just ignore it and get another ball for 2nd serve. Why do they do that ?
A lot of it is just habit and it speeds up the game. If you watch though, sometimes they will request that very same ball for their second serve because they think it has more bounce to it.
