C6 Z06 a Hardtop or Removable Hardtop??
I have a 2002 Z06 and it is a fixed hardtop. Time to trade looking for a good used 2006 Z06. Just wondering if that is also a fixed top or is it one of those removable? Also do the Z06 have paddle shifters?
The C6 Z06 (2005 – Present) only comes in a hard-top stock. I believe you can go to a particular tuner where they take your Z06, add torque and horsepower, and takes away the hard-top and converts it into a soft-top. However, they add weight and therefore, it’s slightly slower than the stock C6 Z06. It’s also quite pricey. I don’t recall the exact name of the tuner, but you can look around on Google.
“Also do the Z06 have paddle shifters?” No it does not. It comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The first five gears are actually for racing and of that sort while the 6th gear is an economical gear; meaning you use it when you drive on the highway to obtain optimal gas mileage.
